Ashé Cultural Tours was founded in 2017 by Ken Schweitzer (a music professor at a small Liberal Arts College in Maryland) and Bonnie Brady as way to share their love of Cuba’s unique musical, cultural, natural, and political landscape with our neighbors on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Blessed with countless positive referrals, our business now serves a national audience with new clients joining us from across the United States. In addition to our private tours, we enjoy developing partnerships and now work with several Colleges and Universities, offering tours for student, alumni, and continuing education programs.
Beginning in 2020, we are expanding our operation beyond Cuba offering our first tour to America’s Southwest. Led by Aaron Lampman, an anthropologist who has been with Ashé since its inception, and Julie Markin (archeologist with intimate knowledge of the southwest), this tour is offered in coordination with Washington College’s Alumni Office.
